Contribution Payments
Banks, building societies, and cooperative savings banks pay contributions to the Fund on a quarterly, the amount of which is set in Sec. 41c (6) and (7) of the Act on Banks.
The contribution of a bank or cooperative savings bank to the Fund amounts to 0.04% of the average volume of the insured receivables from deposits in the given calendar quarter, including interest. The bank calculates the average volume of insured receivables from deposits according to the status of insured receivables from deposits as at the last day of each calendar month in the relevant calendar quarter, including any interest to the crediting of which the depositor was entitled as at that day.
The contribution of a building society to the Fund amounts to 0.02 % of the average volume of the insured receivables from deposits in the given calendar quarter, including interest. The building society calculates the average volume of insured receivables from deposits according to the status of insured receivables from deposits as at the last day of each calendar month in the relevant calendar quarter, including any interest to the crediting of which the depositor was entitled as at that day, without including the government support advances.
Banks, building societies, and cooperative savings banks are obliged to pay the contribution to the Fund for the relevant calendar quarter by the end of the month following the end of the quarter. The contribution is paid in Czech crowns to the Fund's account kept at Česká spořitelna no. 1875562/0800.
Maintaining information about the insured deposits and presenting that information to the Fund
Banks, building societies, and cooperative savings banks are obliged to ensure that the depositor is identified when they keep his account or accept a deposit in another form, and to maintain a registry of depositors' identification information.
The form, structure, and method of maintaining and presenting the information to the Fund is prescribed by a Ministry of Finance Regulation.
