Where is it Insured?

Deposits kept at banks, building societies and cooperative savings banks with their registered seat in the Czech Republic are insured by law.
.

Deposits kept at the branches of foreign banks operating in our market, for example AXA Bank, mBank, and ING, are insured in the country in which the parent bank has its registered seat, if that is within the EU. The deposits of the clients of banks from outside of the EU are insured in the deposit insurance system of the country of the registered seat of the company, which is obliged to compensate the clients. If the collapse of a bank concerned a greater number of domestic clients, the Deposit Insurance Fund would be prepared to help with the arrangements and the organisation of the payment of compensation in the Czech Republic.
